This location is really only accessible by car, even though it’s not far from town. However, if you do have a car, it’s the ideal place to stay. The host and his wife, Bruno and Ella couldn’t possibly be kinder, more helpful or more charming. They live upstairs in this lovely house, and the day we arrived they invited us up for a drink in the evening. We enjoyed sitting outside and chatting about our travels and theirs. The next morning they were about to leave on a trip, but took the time to let us know that we were welcome to pick all the cherries we wanted from the garden. Before our arrival, Bruno sent us some excellent directions and asked us what our breakfast choices were. There are 2 apartments on the main floor with a shared kitchen. We stayed in the smaller apartment, but it was very comfortable, nice and airy with the whitest cotton or linen sheets I’ve ever seen, and ironed. (I mean, who irons sheets?!) This is a delightful place that feels just like home.
We really enjoyed our stay. We had arranged to meet Bruno at the bus-station and he was there ready to take us back to the house. We had exchanged a number of emails before coming and he was always helpful, prompt and solving any problems we had. The flat was just as one could see in the photos with spacious rooms, comfortably furnished and agreeable. We very much enjoyed the books on Urbino (especially the graphic book on Federico Montefeltro). The bathroom and kitchen were homely, clean, adequately equipped with lots of hot water and thoughtfully supplied. I had chosen Bruno`s place because I wanted some space outdoors and this was not at all easy find in Urbino itself. The “space outside” was a delightful garden, a real pleasure. It was set in the countryside just outside Urbino`s walls. Without a car it might have been difficult but there was an efficient 4 minute bus service, reliable taxi, and a pleasant walk to chose from. What also made the difference was Bruno`s thoughtful offer of lifts into the city or the supermarket should we need it. Urbino is a unique and wonderful city. Our stay at Bruno`s was a considerable part of our pleasure in visiting it.
Very good location close to Urbino. The apartment is comfortable and welcoming. But the best point about this nice place are the hosts! Attentive, friendly, efficient, and highly accommodating. Thanks, Bruno, I shall love to visit again
We stayed with Bruno for 3 weeks in the suite, which was exactly as described. The suite has a large lounge and a spacious bedroom with a very comfortable large double bed and en suite shower-room and toilet. We used Bruno’s suite as a base to see the region by car. There is private car parking space available at the property. We shared the well equipped kitchen with the smaller adjacent room, but as breakfast times had been allocated to each room, there was never a problem or issue. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and equipped with all one would need for a stay of a night, or longer, as in our case. Bruno was the perfect host! Warm and friendly at all times and couldn’t do enough for you. As a local his knowledge of Urbino and the region was excellent and he constantly provided superb information and travel tips. I cannot recommend this accommodation highly enough and would certainly stay again!
Bruno’s place was brilliant. Very comfortable and charming, the ideal setting for us, just outside of the main town with lovely garden. Added to this Bruno is the perfect host – with top tips and insider knowledge on how to get the most from your stay. This was our best ever experience with Airbnb
We enjoyed our stay immensely. This is a very spacious apartment with very interesting art and furnishing. Bruno is a nice and interesting man who is a kind and thoughtful host. The apartment is a few kilometers outside of town, but getting to town is easy and fast. The kitchen is well stocked and Bruno is very accommodating. The beds were great.
The BEST hosts in Italy.
Our hosts at Hotel Disma were absolutely the best we have had since coming to Italy. They went out if their way to make our stay perfect including lifts to and from the bus station and several lifts to the old town for a meal and sightseeing. The hospitality even included an extra homemade dessert and fresh eggs from their own chickens. The apartment was spacious, clean and comfortable with attractive decor and crisply ironed sheets. It was warm even with snow outside. The property was attractive with a nice view on a clear day. Be aware that there are no buses to and the town on Sunday if you are arriving by public transport. It wasn’t a problem with the lifts. We really enjoyed the walk though.
